Biography

Dr. Mahmoud Zaki El-Readi is currently working as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine-Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Post Doctorate from University of Heidelberg, Germany. Previously he was appointed as Teaching Assistant and Assistant Professor at Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department; Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University, Assiut-Egypt. He is member of Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology E.V, Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research, Egyptian Society of Biochemistry, and editor for Journal of Phytopharmacology. His main area of interest focuses on Drug Discovery from Plants, his research spans a wide range of objects, start from the Biochemical activities (Anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-infective) to Molecular Mechanisms of isolated Phytochemicals and Medicinal Plants and their role in Cancer Prevention. He has published 25 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
