Biography

Dr. Deepak Sharma is currently working as Head of Division, Animal Genetics Division at Indian Veterinary Research Institute India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Poultry Science from Deemed University, Allahabad, India. His main area of interest related to Animal and Veterinary Sciences, and Molecular Sciences. His area of expertise includes Poultry Genetics and Breeding, Avian Biotechnology, Disease Resistance, Marker Assisted Selection, Microsatellite Markers, Mitochondrial DNA, Guinea Fowl, Chicken, Red Jungle Fowl, Selection, Cross Breeding, Inbreeding, Marker Assisted Introgression, PCR RFLP, Meat Speciation, Sexing, Genetic Parameters, and Selection Index.
