Dr. Binoy S. Vettical, M.V.Sc. is a veterinarian specialized in embryo transfer technology and Animal Reproduction. He is currently working as a Senior Scientist in the Reproductive Biotechnology Centre of Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is heading the MOET department of the Reproductive Biotechnology Centre. He has served the Kerala Livestock Development Board, Kerala, India in various positions as Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Manager and Deputy General Manager during the period from 1991 to 2010. He is one of the few veterinarians who have involved in the pioneer work of cattle embryo transfer in India since the early 1990s. He has trained in Embryo Transfer Technology from institutions in various countries in Europe. Dr. Binoy has over 25 scientific papers and projects either presented or published. He is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of animal reproductive biotechnology including diagnosis, treatment and management of reproductive problems, Embryo Transfer Technology, Frozen Semen Technology and Research. Dr. Binoy is serving as the editor for many international scientific journals including Asian Pacific Journal of Reproduction, Livestock Science, Theriogenology, Animal Reproduction Science, Biology of Reproduction, Reproduction, Reproduction Fertility and Development. Recent publications include a paper on “Multiple ovulation and embryo transfer (MOET) in camels: An overview”. Dr. Binoy has been awarded the “Dr.N.P.Panicker Memorial Endowment Award 2007-2008(M.V.Sc Programme)” from Kerala Agricultural University for highest OGPA in the University. He has served as a member of various scientific societies and acted on a number of institutional committees including the Central Monitoring Committee constituted by Government of India for the evaluation and accreditation of embryo transfer laboratories in India for the export of embryos. Dr. Binoy is recognized by his peers as a Specialist in Embryo Transfer Technology and Animal Reproduction.
