Biography

Theopilus Watuguly is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University, Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia. Watuguly has produced more than 30 scientific papers that have been published both in Indonesian journals and international journals. Watuguly is a researcher in the fields of biomedicine, plant medicine for cancer and degenerative diseases, pre-clinic, and clinic test research. Watuguly regularly presents research results in workshops, national seminars, and international seminars both at Pattimura University and at other universities in Indonesia. Watuguly is Editor-in-Chief of Science Map Journal, Managing Editor of Biopendix Journal. Watuguly was often invited to provide material related to journal management held by the Higher Education Service Institution (LL-DIKTI) in Maluku and North Maluku. The latest publication about herbal medicine for diabetes mellitus which is a pre-clinically test. Watuguly is the main lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Pattimura University with topics on human anatomy and physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics. Watuguly also teaches at the Pattimura University postgraduate program on the topics of genetics and evolution, cell biology and molecular, bioinformatics. Watuguly teaches at the Faculty of Medicine at Pattimura University on the topic of traditional medicinal plants. Watuguly teaches at the faculty of health at the Indonesian Christian University of Maluku on the topic of epidemiology genetic and biomedical. Watuguly was award as the best researcher by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, and the Olympic science University of Pattimura University. Watuguly while the patent process for lung cancer drugs from natural ingredients. Watuguly holds a B.Sc from the Department of Biology, Ambon Pattimura University, an M.Sc.Med from a basic Medical Program, Airlangga University, Surabaya, and Dr.Med degree from the Doctor of Medicine and Health Sciences Program, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Get a scholarship for Masters and Doctoral programs during college. Watuguly is a member of professional organizations namely The Indonesian Society for Bioinformatics and Biodiversity (MABBI) (Member, 2018 - present), Indonesian Biological Consortium (KOBI) (Member, 2008 - present), Indonesian Biological Association (PBI) (Member, 2015 - present).
