Biography

Dr. Mohammed Arifullah is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Agro Based Industry (FIAT) Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). He has completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Sri Venkateswara University, India. He is having 13 years teaching and research experience. His main area of interest focuses on Protein Biochemistry, Protein Molecular Biology, Protein Structural Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue & Cell Culture, and Production of Plant Drugs. Currently he is supervising/co-supervising 3 PhD and 3 MS students. He is also working on many research projects. Dr. Mohammed Arifullah received honors includes Excellent Service Award - 2014: Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, Best Poster award in a research conference held in UMK, Young Scientist Award 2013: World Congress on Pharmaceutical Sciences & Chemical Technology, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Honored Member of Stanford who’s who, Junior Scientist Award 2005 from National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi Best Research Scholar Award 2004 from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He is member of editorial board in International Journal of Integrative Sciences, Innovation and Technology, Journal of Tropical Resources and Sustainable Science, (JTRSS) UMK, Malaysia, and International Journal of Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine (IJEAM). He also reviewed more than 20 research articles from different reputed international journals. He has published 25 research articles in journals, and 23 conference presentations contributed as author/co-author. He is also serving as life member of many scientific societies such as Malaysian Nature Society, Society of Biological Chemists, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Society for Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology, New Delhi, The Indian Botanical Society, Agra, India, Society for the Biology and Biotechnology, Salem, India, Society of Ethnobotanists, Lucknow, India, and National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi.
