Biography

Dr. Eghosa Edorisiagbon Iyare is currently working as a Professor of Physiology at University of Nigeria, Nigeria. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Physiology from University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. His main area of research interest focuses on developmental programming effects of use of herbal decoctions during pregnancy and lactation, effects of herbal decoctions in the management of malaria in pregnancy, and nutrition and developmental programming of offspring phenotype. He has supervised several MSc and Ph.D theses. He is a member of Physiological Society of Nigeria, American Physiological Society, The Physiological Society, UK, The Endocrine Society, Developmental Origins of Health and Disease Society, and American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. He has published over 50 research articles in journals, 2 books, 3 theses and projects contributed as author/co-author. He is Editor in Chief in Nigerian Journal of Experimental and Clinical Biosciences.
