Biography

Prof John Ikechukwu Eze is a Professor and former Head of Biomass Unit at the National Centre for Energy Research and Development with a parallel appointment as a Professor of Food Engineering in the Department of Food Science and Technology, both at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, till March, 2015 when he disengaged from Energy Centre and returned fully to his department. He pioneered the Biomass Research Unit of the Energy Research Centre and teaches Food Engineering and biotechnology courses and also supervises both undergraduate and post graduate students’ research projects. He earned his Ph.D (2001) in Food Engineering, (Design, operation and evaluation of commercial biogas plant [10m3] using food wastes). He is self motivated and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and team working skills and a proven ability to learn new concepts and apply them to real working situations.
