Biography

I acquired a MD (MBBS) degree from the University of Jos Nigeria in 2005 and proceeded to do my Internship at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital between December 2005 and December 2006. My interest in Basic and Clinical Pharmacology spurred me on to undergo postgraduate training at the University of Lagos Nigeria where I obtained a Master of Science and a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology. My research focus is in the area of Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety, Nutraceuticals and Antioxidant Therapy in parasitic diseases (malaria in particular). I am a member of several scientific/professional bodies including the Nigerian Medical Association, MURIA research group and the West African Society of Pharmacologist. I have over 40 publications in Local and International Journals. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics and currently the Sub-Dean Faculty of Clinical Sciences College of Medicine Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma Edo State Nigeria. I am presently doing an online MPH program with the University of Roehampton, UK.
