Biography

Dr. Yusuf Garba holds a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture (Animal Science) from the prestigious Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto-Nigeria. He also obtained a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Animal Science from the Department of Animal Science, Bayero University, Kano. His main area of research interest is in the field of ruminant nutrition and management with specialization in the small ruminant specie. He is a registered Animal Scientist (RAS) and member of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP), Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, Animal Science Society of Nigeria (ASAN) and the Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN) (all professional academic bodies in Nigeria). He is presently a Researcher and Lecturer at the Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. Previously he was worked as Customer Service / Funds Transfer Officer, Acting Head of Operations, and Cash officer at International Trust Bank Plc, and Head of operations at Oceanic Bank International Plc. Dr. Yusuf has 15 academic publications to his credit in both National and International Journals and edited book of conference proceedings. He also supervised 36 undergraduate students’ projects.
