Biography

DR. NSIRIM. L. EDWIN-WOSU (A Pollution Plant Ecologist & Taxonomist). He is a lecturer with the Department of Plant Science and Biotechnology, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. An academia with a great zeal and interest in research. He holds B. Sc., M.Sc. in Plant Ecology with emphasis in Phytoremediation, M.Sc. in Plant Taxonomy / Biosystematics. He also holds PhD in Plant Ecology (Phytoremediation). In addition his areas of research interest cuts across Environmental pollution monitoring and Bioremediation of Environmental Media with emphasis on the use and application of Phytoremediation methods. It also cut across Enzyme Characterisation Associated with Macrophyte in Phytoremediation Technology, Macrophytic screening of species for Phytoremediation Potential. He has special interest in Herbarium Technology and Development. He is into developing an integrated eco-taxonomic index and modeling of plant species diversity in a regeneration trend of derelict environment. He is an editor of Global Journal Series (An International Journal). Generally he is into Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation and sustainability in collaboration with other research interest. His extra-curricular activities include Ecological Expeditions, Environmental Consultancy & Audit reporting. He is a member of professional bodies among which the Nigeria Environmental
