Dr Ahmed Abd El-Ghani El-Sanousi is currently working as Professor of Virology at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt. He obtained his Medical degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary University of Hannover, Germany. The title of his thesis is “Die verwandtshaft ausgewaehlter Influenzaviren von Tier und Mensch” “The Relationship of Some Selected Influenza Viruses of Animal and Man”. His prior working experience includes Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Professor of Virology in Department of Virology, Lecturer of Virology and Immunology in the Department of Microbiology at Cairo University, DAAD Candidate for doing Doctor Work in Germany, Teacher of molecular biology topics at the Egyptian Medical Military Academy. He is member of many scientific societies. He is serving as Editorial Board member of the Egyptian Society of Virology, Higher National Scientific Council. Dr Ahmed Abd El-Ghani El-Sanousiis received number of awards and certificates includes, the National Encouraging Prize, Certificates of attendance of Course in “Basic Radiation Safety” for use of Radionuclides, completion of a practical training program in “Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases” at the University of Florida, and Certificate in Risk Analysis for attending two week training program in “Risk Analysis for Animal Health” Kuwait. He also involved in different activities like prepared a laboratory Manual titled, participated as a senior investigator in joined American-Egyptian Project, Peace Fellowship member in the Food Animal Health Research program in Ohio , Wooster, USA, prepared a study and manual on “Strategic Plan for Controlling Microbiological Factors Affecting Quality of Animal Products in the State of Kuwait”, represented State of Kuwait in the Regional Conference on “Support for Rinderpest Surveillance in West Asia”. He published 80 articles in journals as author/co-author.
