Biography

Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aziz El-Raey is currently working as Researcher of Natural Products Chemistry, Department of Phytochemistry & Plant Chemosystematics, Pharmaceutical Division, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt in 2010. He also worked as Research Assistant, Assistant Researcher, and Staff member of Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt. His area of research interest related to Drug Discovery: Following Bioactivity Directed Fractionation of Medicinal Plants, Isolation and Structural Elucidation of new Natural Compounds of Promising Biological Activity Applying the Conventional method of Chromatographic Analysis and new Techniques of Spectroscopy including 2D-NMR Spectroscopy and Mass Spectrometric Analysis, and Isolation and structure Elucidation of Plant Natural Product Compounds (specially, phenolic compounds). He has published 6 research papers in journals, and 10 papers in conferences contributed as author/co-author. He also supervised 1 PhD and 1 MSc student thesis as co-supervisor.
