Biography

Dr. Sayed Mahmoud Hussein Abdein is currently working as Assistant Professor at University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Engineering from Hirosaki University, Japan. His main area of interest focuses on Structural Engineering, Response of Isolated and Non-isolated Structures under Earthquake Motions with and without Soil Flexibility, Pounding of Isolated and Non-isolated Structures during Earthquakes Considering and Ignoring Soil Structure-Interaction (SSI), Damage of buildings due to Seismic Pounding, Structural Pounding Models, Response of Buildings under Blast Loadings, and Numerical Modelling of Dynamics Problems. He has published 18 research articles in international journals, 1 book and 14 articles in international conference contributed as author/co-author.
