Aleem Basha Pinjari

Dr. P. Aleem Basha, M.Sc., Ph.D is an Assistant Professor at Rayalaseema University, School of Life Sciences. Dr. P. Aleem Basha has publications in reputed international journals such as PNAS, USA, AMB, PLoS ONE, Critical Reviews in Microbiology etc. He has completed his masters in biochemistry from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur. He received a special prize from Governor for securing first rank in M. Sc Biochemistry. Later he worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Biochemistry at National Post-Graduate College, Nandyal, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. After receiving JRF scholarship from UGC-CSIR and ICMR moved to do Ph. D at University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He worked under the mentorship of Prof. S. Dayananda, Department of Animal Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He worked on Bioremediation of organophosphate acephate and submitted thesis to University of Hyderbad. During his Ph.D he published three research articles in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, PLoS ONE, Letters in Applied Microbiology and a review article in Critical Reviews in Microbiology. Later he joined Dr. Nasreen Ehthesham laboratory at Institute of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad as Research Associate. He worked for nearly one year 5 months and he published as research article in PNAS, USA. After received a position as Post-doctoral scientist in George Washington University under Noble Laureate Dr. Ferid Murad he left ILS. In Washington DC he worked for two years. Now he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Biotechnology, Rayalaseema University, Kurnool. His research mainly focus on industrial enzymes from different microbial sources.
