Dr. Nedime Serakinci is currently working as Professor and Department leader of Medical Genetics, Near East University Northern Cyprus. She obtained her PhD in Medical Biology and Genetics from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. In past she worked as Research Scientist at Istanbul University, Research Fellow, Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Danish Cancer Society, Research Assistant Professor at Aarhus Amtssygehus, Cancercytogenetics Laboratory Aarhus Denmark, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor at Aarhus University, and Assistant Professor at University of Southern Denmark. She has been invited to delivered special lectures in many national and international conferences and workshops. She is member of following scientific societies; American Society of Human Genetics, American Society of Gene therapy, European Cytogenetics Association, and European Society of Human Genetics. She is external supervisor and co-supervisor for 5 international Ph.D. students and several undergraduate students and 5 Post-docs. She has Published 29 research papers in international journals (abstracts are not included) and 5 book chapters and presented 25 oral presentations and 18 posters and gave more than 20 invited talks in seminars.
