About
Professional Summary
Dr. Ioannis Tokatlidis is currently working as member of the Faculty of the Department of Agricultural Development of Democritus University of Thrace since 2002. He specializes in Crop Breeding for about 20 years. He has been graduated by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/Faculty of Agriculture, Greece, in 1982, and worked as farmer consultant for six years. After that experience he had post-graduated studies under the supervision of Prof. Apostolos Fasoulas, who developed the innovative breeding procedure called ‘Honeycomb Breeding’, and received his PhD in 1998. His prior work expereinece includes Assistant Professor at the Technological Education Institute of W. Macedonia/Faculty of Crop Production, Greece (1994-2002). He is member of the societies ‘EUCARPIA’, ‘CSSA’ and ‘ESA’, as well as of the editorial board of five international journals. He has coordinated six research projects and published 40 research and review papers in SCOPUS journals. He has recently appointed by the Minister of Rural Development and Food as member of the scientific board assigned to lead the national agricultural research.
