Professional Summary

I am a passionate Associate Professor of Physiology with 16 years experience in research and teaching of both medical and professional health students (including postgraduates) in collaboration with the department, faculty and Heads. I also hold a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and have been involved in physiology teaching in an integrated medical training under different learning modalities such as conventional lectures, problem-based learning, team-based learning, tutorials and group discussions as well as journal clubs. To further consolidate on my teaching skills, I have also attended a Physiology Teaching Workshop organized by the famous International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS), at the University of Bristol, UK, in 2013. As a visiting lecturer to some Nigerian Universities, I have also acquired experience in teaching to a culturally diverse student population. Building foundations for next generation of academics and workforce pioneers has always been my career objective.
