Biography

Dr. Nemat Sokhandan Bashir is currently working as Visiting Scientist at Plant Research Centre, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine Waite Campus, University of Adelaide, Glen Osmond, SA. He obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Science from The University of Sydney, Australia. In past he appointed as Associate Professor at University of Tabriz, Iran, Research Scientist at QAAFI, University of Queensland, Australia, Visiting Professor at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA, and Assistant Professor at National Research Center for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (NRCGEB), Tehran, Iran. He also received number of grants for his research work. He is professional member of American Society for Virology (ASV), American Phytopathological Society (APS), American Microbiological Society (AMS), and International Council for the Study of Virus and Virus-like Diseases of Grapevine (ICVG). Dr. Nemat received honor includes Sabbatical Award from University of Tabriz, Matsumae International Foundation Fellowship, Postdoctoral Scholarship from University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY, USA, and PhD top- up scholarship from The University of Sydney, Australia. He has published 18 research articles in journals, and 46 conference presentations contributed as author/co-author. He is member of editorial board of Applied Research in Plant Protection.
