Biography

Dr. Krishna Pokharel is currently working as Research Fellow at University of Freiburg, Germany. He has completed his Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology and Management from same University. Previously he was appointed as Zoology Lecturer at Hill-Town Int’l Higher Secondary School-Kirtipur, Nepal, Field Biologist at Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN)-Kathmandu, Nepal, Zoologist at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST)-Kathmandu, Nepal, and Intern at Office for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry-Fussen, Germany. He has 7 publications in journals and 1 conference abstract as author/co-author. Dr. Krishna received honors include Grant for the laboratory works from Elisabeth Frickenhaus–Foundation, Germany, Grant for the field works from National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), Nepal, Rufford grant for nature conservation from The Rufford Foundation, UK and Doctoral Scholarships from International Graduate Academy of University of Freiburg, (funded by the State of Baden-Württemberg) Germany. His main area of interest focuses wildlife Ecology, Habitat Modeling, Conservation Biology, Human–Wildlife Relationships, application of stable Isotopes in Animal Ecology and Landscape Ecology; he has also in-depth knowledge of Research Design, Data Management and analysis, and stable Isotope Ecology.
