Biography

Dr. Badreya Al-Jenaibi is presently Associate professor at Mass Communication Department, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, and U.A.E University. She has completed her PhD in Communications and Public Relations from University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND, U.S.A. Her research interests include Pedagogy, international communication, public relations, as well as the uses and effects of mass media, and new media. Her research has appeared in the Journal of Applied Journalism & Media Studies, International Journals of Information Systems & Social Change, and the International Journal of E-adoption, Global Media Journal, Journal for Communication and Culture, and the Journal of Cross Cultural Communication. She published more than 32 peer-reviewed articles. Also, she received Khlifah Award for the best distinguished teacher and professor in the Arab world, Arab Youth and Academic Publishing Award, Arab Women Creative Award-best creative teacher, His Highness Hamdan Bin Mubarak Award for the best distinguished employee in specialized jobs-Academic, Quality Assurance and Community Service Award, UAEU Academic and Publishing Award, Volunteering Award. She is the director of Mubadrah student community engagement center; her activities were engaged with more than 28 local organizations. Dr. Badreya is a member in editorial board in more than 17 international peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Cross Cultural Communication, Journal of Journalism and Mass Communication, Journal of the Middle East Media, Swiss Journals of Management and Business studies and Journal of Horizontal in the UAEU. She created the first Community Engagement Center Mubadrah, in the first public university, UAEU in the UAE and received the best creative project award for creating the center. Dr. Badreys is a judge in many awards like Shikh Saif Bin Zayed Award (Interior ministry Research Award), judge in Habib Alsayeg Award, Judge in the Annual student’s conference Award in Abu-Dhabi University. Also, she is helping in the development of curriculum materials; preparation for content lectures; evaluation of student work; mentoring and advising students; participation in publishing magazines, exhibition presentations and authoring research articles. She received more than 74 thanks and appreciation letters from different organizations for creating more 70 campaigns, activities, lectures and symposia in the UAE.
