Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid Chillab Kridie Al-Salhie
holds a Bsc.(2002), MSc. (2005) and a Ph.D. (2012)
in Animal Resources From the University of Basrah.
He is director-general of the research of Japanese
quail farm at College of Agriculture, University
of Basrah, and co-director of the Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Animal production.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalid C. K. Al-Salhie research is mainly focused on avian physiology, he has published more than 26 papers in peer-reviewed international and local journals. His current research deals with medicinal plants and how it effect on avian gonads development. Some research deals with yolk hormones and their effects on sex determination.
He acted as the chief of the post-graduate committee and a member of the scientific committee of the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah. He acted as supervisor of 6 MSc and Ph.D. theses, is a member of the Basrah journal of Agricultural Sciences.
