Biography

Prof. Dr. Madeeha Malik is the first and only female Professor of Pharmacy Practice in Pakistan. Dr. Madeeha received her PhD degree in Pharmacy Practice from University Sains Malaysia and completed her Post doctorate in Pharmacy Practice at Northwest University, South Africa. She is also serving as HEC approved supervisor for Masters and PhD students. In addition, she was invited in 2018, as Visiting Professor by University of Illinois, Chicago, USA to strengthen research and academic collaboration between US and Pakistani Pharmacy Schools. She has won grant from Euro-QoL in 2019, one of the top Research Organization of the world known for establishing value sets and transformation of health care system of more than 100 countries globally, for pilot study of health valuation in Pakistan. Dr. Madeeha also won the 2018 fellowship award of National Medicine Symposium, organized by WHO in Australia and represented Pakistan at the prestigious platform. She has published over hundred peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters, and has presented as keynote and podium speaker in over fifty presentations and posters.She is extensively involved in community work and is heading two Community Awareness initiatives i.e. CEDI (community awareness eating disorder initiative) and MICA (Mental health community awareness initiative). Her areas of expertise & interest includes health & drug policy, obesity and eating disorders, health literacy, health related quality of life, rational drug use, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, community services, smoking control & cessation, clinical pharmacy, mental health, health technology, pharmacy education and workforce.

She strongly believes in women empowerment and entrepreneurship and has recently launched a skin care initiative with the name of Madyskincare. Madyskin care is a brand with the aim to provide most effective skincare solution at most economical cost. We have introduced 39 organic products focusing on facial, hair and body secrets with the aim to promote local brand by using local plants of Pakistan and to provide quality products in line with International standards. We believe to contribute as Pakistani and by Pakistani.
