Biography

Hassaan Anwer Rathore completed his bachelors from University of The Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in the year 2001 and was awarded a doctorate degree in the field of physiology by the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang in year 2009 where he serves as a senior lecturer at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM since Feb 2009. He has his own independent research program in the area of cardiovascular & renal physiology and pathophysiology which has been generously funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, Malaysia as well as by Universiti Sains Malaysia over past couple of years. He has published more than 69 research publications in renowned journals indexed and graded by ISI and Scopus and other well known data bases. He has keen interest in improving teaching-learning techniques especially in teaching of physiology to pharmacy students and is currently conducting a joint physiology teaching research project with his colleagues at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM. He has been an active member of Physiology teaching group formed at IUPS 2009 in Kobe and is a member of the American Physiological Society, The Physiological Society UK and serves as an editor to a quarterly newsletter of the Malaysian Society of Pharmacology and Physiology since 2005.
