Biography

Dr. Aneela Maalik is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology since Aug 2012. She has 13 published papers in International peer reviewed journals and many accepted and submitted papers in national and international journals. She has completed her PhD in the field of Organic synthesis and Homogeneous Catalysis (Palladium catalyzed C-C cross coupling reactions) from the Department of Chemistry, University of Rostock, Germany in 2012. During her PhD, she won different scholarships, HERMES, LIKAT fellowship etc. She has written and submitted many projects to different National and International funding agencies i-e HEC, PSF, IFS, Pak-US etc. She is performing not only the teaching assignments presently to the graduate and undergraduate students but also supervising the undergraduate and graduate research students in the department. Her field of interest includes, organic synthesis, catalysis, metal complexes, drug delivery through nanoparticles, pharmacological and photophysical studies of synthesized bioactive compounds. She is a member pf Pakistan Chemical Society and National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS).
