Dr. Tukaram Sambhaji Dudhamal is presently working as Professor and HOD, Dept. of Shalya Tantra, Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda (Institute of National Importance), Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. He obtained his MS (Ayu) degree form Govt. Ayurved College, Nanded in 2001 and Ph.D. (Ayu) awarded from Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar in 2012.
His teaching experience is 25 years. He has guided 21 PhD scholars and 41 PG scholars. Presently 8 PhD scholars 12 PG scholars are doing research under his guidance. He received “Best Teacher Award-2021” by National Sushruta Association (NSA), India. He also received “Sushruta Award -2025” by Association of Ayurveda Practioner (AAP), Mumbai.
He has been served as Nodal officer of 100 bedded Covid Care Centre (CCC) IPGT&RA Hospital, Jamnagar during first and second wave of Covid-19 pandemic. He performed more than ten thousand ano-rectal surgeries.
He wrote six books and 12 chapters in different books. He completed 6 Research Projects as principal investigator and one research project is going on. He published more than 280 research articles in national and international scientific journals. He delivered more than 95 guest lectures in CME, national and international seminars.
As academic, clinical and research activities he has been worked in many committees as committee members at national and international level. He is working as reviewer and subject editor in many scientific journals like AYU, AAM, JAIM, JRAS, IJA-CaRe, IJTK, JACR, IJAR, etc.
His area of expertise includes Wound Healing, Ksharasutra, Ano-rectal surgery, Leech application, Musculo-skeletal disorders, Urinary disorders.
He visited to Tajikistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, China, Hungary, Nepal with various responsibilities to deliver lectures on Ayurveda research.
