P.K. Rajagopal

Prof. (Dr.) Rajagopal P.K. is a well-known educator, researcher, and writer in political science. He recently completed a successful teaching career of over 22 years, retiring on May 31, 2026, as the professor and head of the PG & Research Department of Political Science at NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry. He is highly qualified, holding MA, M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees, and has cleared the UGC NET exam. His regular teaching journey started in 2004. Since then, he has taught at several reputed colleges in Kerala, including SVR NSS College (Vazhoor), NSS College (Nemmara), and NSS Hindu College (Changanacherry). In addition to teaching, he has handled important duties, such as serving as an IQAC Coordinator, Nodal Officer MGU-UGP, a member of the Board of Studies at Mahatma Gandhi and Kannur Universities, and university examination chairman.
As a dedicated scholar, his research focuses on temple management, environmental politics, and human rights. He has written popular books, including Politics, Governance, and Religion: A Study on the Administration of Hindu Shrines in Kerala, and has published many articles in top academic journals and book chapters. Dr. Rajagopal is also active in public discussions as a political commentator, news columnist, and guest speaker.
