About
Professional Summary
I am Dr. Mandar J. Joshi, a Lecturer in Metallurgy at Dr. S. & S. S. Ghandhy College of Engineering & Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India. I completed my Ph.D. in Metallurgy Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, in 2024. My doctoral research focused on the preparation and characterisation of high-performance polymer matrix nanocomposites for electronic applications.
My research interests include materials science, metallurgy, nanotechnology, polymer nanocomposites, advanced materials, and energy storage applications. I am particularly interested in investigating the thermal, mechanical, and dielectric properties of nanocomposites for potential electronic packaging applications. I have contributed to research publications in materials science and presented my work at academic conferences.
I am a member of the Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE) and participated in the 12th Annual ACSE Conference 2026, themed “Rebuilding Trust in Scholarly Publishing.” I also delivered an oral presentation on the dielectric and electrical properties of polyetherketone–silica nanocomposites at Emerging Scientist Season IV (ES-2025).
Alongside teaching and research, I have experience in academic administration, curriculum development, university coordination, and institutional financial administration. I serve as a Member of the Board of Studies in Metallurgy at Gujarat Technological University for 2024–2027 and as an Executive Committee Member of the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Baroda Chapter.
I am passionate about continuous learning, interdisciplinary research, student mentoring, and innovation. My goal is to contribute to materials science research, strengthen industry–academia collaboration, and promote quality technical education.
