Biography

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the School of Business at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics on “Estimation Procedure Using Asymmetric Loss Function” from the Faculty of Science at Banaras Hindu University, India. His area of specialization is statistics and operation research, and his thrust areas are statistics, operations research, quantitative methods, research methodology, and marketing research.

With more than 15 years of teaching experience, he has published 41 research papers in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored two books. He has actively participated in national and international conferences and workshops, from Japan and Hong Kong to Hawaii, and he is a life member of various professional and academic associations.

He has been nominated as Chief Guest Editor for a Special Issue of the Journal of Business and Management Sciences, and he is currently an editorial board member of 23 reputed international journals, such as Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Communications in Statistics – Theory and Methods, Econometrics and Statistics, Inderscience, the Journal of Management Education (JME), the Asian Journal of Marketing, the Research Journal of Business Management, the Asian Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, the Singapore Journal of Scientific Research, the Journal of Economics & International Finance and the International Journal of Cloud Computing.

He has been invited by Indian Oil Corporation Limited for conducting a workshop on Statistics and Seven Quality Tools for IOCL Official at IIPM, Gurgaon. He was selected in a panel of experts for a round table discussion held in February 2010 entitled "Denmark: Better, Faster, Stronger - Leading the Way in Translational Medicine”, and was also on the panel of experts for a round table discussion held in December 2008 entitled, "State of the Nation: Science in Ireland.”.

The Asian Council of Science Editors nominated him as the Ambassador of the Asian Council of Science Editors, and eminent research bodies such as the Science Alert Peer Review System and Wudpecker Journals have appreciated him as a valued reviewer of journals including the Asian Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, the Singapore Journal of Scientific Research, the International Journal of Applied Economics and Finance, the Asian Journal of Marketing, the Research Journal of Business Management and the Research Journal of Business Management & Accounting. He received an outstanding reviewer award in Dec 2017 from ELSEVIER for the journal “Computers and Electrical Engineering”.

Invited by the ACSE to serve as Program Committee (PC) of ACSTM 2019, the 3rd Asian Conference on Science, Technology & Medicine. The conference will be held during February 12-14, 2019 in Dubai, UAE at the Carlton Palace Hotel.
