Biography

Dr. Ginpreet Kaur is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmacology. She completed her PhD from School of Pharmacy and Technology Management, SVKM NMIMS in 2011. Her area of specialization and qualification includes General Course on Intellectual Property, Professional Diploma in Clinical Research, Master of Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy. She is here with 8 years teaching experience as Lecturer and Assistant Professor. She has received number of awards and honors for SPER WF-young Teacher, Best Poster, Oral Presentation and also awarded for securing 2nd position in Master of Pharmacy, awarded for best research paper, Dr. R.D. Kulkarni prize & Dr. Ashok B. Vaidya prize for scientific paper. She acts as panel of expert and active reviewer, editorial board member of many journals and also the member of several projects and professional societies. Her research interest inclined towards screening of different synthetic and herbal medicines used for the treatment of depression, evaluation of nutraceutical used for the treatment of diabetes, standardization of herbal extracts, anticancer activity using cell lines and development of animal models used for metabolic syndrome. She is supervising 20 Masters of Pharmacy students. She actively participated and presented (orally and poster) number of research papers, articles in conferences, seminars and workshops. She has published 36 papers in international and national peer reviewed journals, (27) articles in conferences, book (01) and chapters in the books are (04).
