Dr. Ravindra Kumar is currently a Head & Principal Scientist in transport planning and environment division. He has experienced as post doctoral research fellow at the transport research Institute, Edinburgh. He completed his Ph.D. from Edinburgh Napier University (UK) and Master’s degree from the University of Roorkee, India. He is a life member of the Indian Road Congress and a member of CILT UK. His current research area focuses on GIS application in urban and rural road planning, with a special focus on rehabilitation and resettlement planning, real-world driving cycle and vehicular emission using advanced instruments and developing emission factors based on Board, Micro Simulation and Chassis Dynamometer. He secured more than 43 research papers in International and National journals. He is a member of EMPWOWER Committee for PMGSY in a Ministry of Rural Development.
