Biography

Since October 2009, I have been working as Research Officer (Botany) at National Ayurveda Dietetics Research Institute (C.C.R.A.S., New Delhi), Bangalore. I have given charge of survey of Medicinal Plants Unit. In addition, Museum and Herbarium maintenance, Collection, Processing and Supply of crude drug material as and when required for APC work, DSRU, Bangalore. After joining NADRI, Bangalore Ethno Medico-botanical survey tours have been conducted in the forest areas of Chitradurga, Dharwad, Bellary and Davangere, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Bagalkot, Raichur, Kolar, Vijayapura ditricts of Karnataka. Presently conducting survey in Gadag and Koppal districts of Karnataka state.
Through all these activities, I gained skills in organising field explorations for different purposes, plant identification, herbarium techniques, collection and supply of crude drugs, GIS techniques, plant tissue culture, Cultivation of medicinal plants, collection and compilation of scientific data, writing of research articles, books etc. I have got collection of good quality photographs of about 800 plant species covered all over India.
