Professional Summary
Dr. S. Sendilvelan studied at Institution of Engineers, India for his AMIE (Mechanical Engineering) degree in 1988. He got ME (Thermal Power Engineering) degree from Annamalai University in 1992 and M.Tech (CAD) degree from Pondicherry University, secured University First Rank in 2009. He got the Ph.D. degree in 2002 from Anna University, Chennai for his research work in the area of IC Engine Emission Control.
He served in various positions at Bharath University,Chennai for 13 Years and 2 years worked as principal at Thangavelu Engineering college. He also served as Registrar, Dean (Research) and Dean (Engg.&Tech.) at Dr.MGR University, Chennai for 4 years. He served as principal, Aksheyaa College of Engineering, Puludivakkam, Chennai for 1.5 years. He served as principal, PERI Institute of Technology, Chennai for 3.2 years. Now working as Research Coordinator, Dr.M.G.R.Educational and Research Institute University, since 2015 January.
He has guided 9 candidates for their research leading to the Ph.D degree. He has published more than 161 articles in National and International papers and Journals. He has 505 citations in the International Journals including Elsevier, Vehicle Engine-Germany, and IMechE proceedings. He was a member of several technical committees of National and International conferences.
His research paper “Modeling of Cold Start Emission Control System in IC Engine”, has been selected for the Best-of Book of the AMSE in 2006, AMSE Journal, France. He is the member of several Indian and International professional bodies.
