D. Jayarajan

Dr.D. Jayarajan Professor, Program of Medical Lab Sciences, Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, Assam Down Town University, Gauwahati, Assam and Former Professor in School of Allied Health Sciences, Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab was a dynamic student friendly Professor with vast experience of 19 years in Academic and 16years of Research in both Microbiology and Allied Health Sciences. He was a renowned Microbiologist and a keen researcher, filed 20 Indian patents in his research. He published totally 58 Research publications in both international and national level including 36 research articles, 5 Edited books, 8 book chapters and 9 conference proceedings He also Submitted 54 bacterial gene sequences in Gen Bank of NCBI, USA. and was also playing the role of editorial board member for more than14 reputed journals. As a contributor to the student community he delivered various invited talks at various conferences and seminars. He also served as Board of Studies for allied Health Sciences at Chandigarh University, Punjab He was recipient of Best paper award for his presentations in various conferences conducted at • Faculty of Marine Sciences, Annamalai University, Parangipettai (2019) • Centre for Biodiversity and Forest Studies, Periyar University, Salem (2015 & 2014) • Annamalai University (2012) • Dept. of Biomedical Science, Bharathidasan University (2010) Being a Life member in Indian Science Congress Association and Indian Confederation of Medical Laboratory Science he used to motivate his students and fellow men to share knowledge in research field. Apart from his research and academics he also organized various FDP’s for faculties from various disciplines. He was also honored with following awards 1. Fellow of Allied Health Sciences (Specialization in Medical Laboratory Technology) 2025 received from Indian Association of Basic and Paramedical Sciences ,(Registered under Govt of Tamilnadu) Chennai on 8th March 2025 2. Excellence in Inclusive Education Award 2024 in Guru Prathiba Puraskar 2024, An International Award Ceremony on the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan organized by SIDVI Society For Research and Development(SSRD) a division of SIDVI Foundation on 05th September 2024. 3. Best Researcher award for 2022 in International Scientist awards on Engineering, Science and Medicine organized by VDGOOD Professional Associations on 7th & 8th October 2022. 4. Academic Excellence Award for 2021 Presented by Research Educational Solutions(Registered as Micro Enterprise under MSME, Govt of India) Uttar Pradesh, India on 19th December 2021 5.
