Biography

Shyamal Kumar Paul obtained his Ph.D. in Biotic Environment, especially in biotic environment from United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Iwate University, Japan, and his MS in Aquaculture from the Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh and his BSc (Hons) in Fisheries from Fisheries and Marine Resource Technology Department (FMRT) of Khulna University, Khulna. Dr. Paul has been involved in teaching and research as a faculty member in the Department of Fisheries and Marine Science since October 2015. His previous professional career started with a government project as a Senior Instructor (Fisheries), Department of Youth Development, Bangladesh and then as a Senior Research Officer (Agricultural) in NGO, Bangladesh respectively. Currently, in the department of Fisheries and Marine Science, the focus of his research is on Fish and shrimp health management, Fish Pathology, Fish Parasitology, Fish breeding, Hatchery management, and Aquatic pollution.
