Biography

Prof CH Rasul had worked as Professor and Head of the department of Paediatrics for last 10 years in Khulna Medical College & Hospital, located in the southern part of Bangladesh. Apart from consultancy service for the admitted children, he was involved with the teaching and training of the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and worked as supervisor for a number of research projects on infectious disease and nutritional disorder. Besides his routine job, he worked as the Academic Co-ordinator of Khulna Medical College for 18 years. He had served as the member of Faculty of Medicine, Rajshahi University for 10 years and also as member of Bangladesh Medical Research Council for 5 years. As an avid educationist he had organized multiple workshops on medical education and scientific writing.

Prof Rasul has authored 113 publications till now and one third of them are in indexed journal. He is an acclaimed reviewer for a number of European and American medical journal. He is an eloquent speaker and had presented scientific papers to a number of International Conference as invited speaker. He has been serving as Editor of “Bangladesh Medical Journal Khulna” for last eighteen years which is approved by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council. He has retired from Govt service in 2015 and remains attached as Honorary Professor in his last institution. Now he is serving member of Faculty of Paediatrics, Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and also contributing as Research Investigator on ‘congenital anomaly’.
