Biography

Dr. Syed Faisal Haider Zaidi is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, King Saud bin Abulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arab. He obtained his PhD in Pharmacology from University of Toyama, Japan in 2009. His area of interest covers mostly on the pathogenesis of H. pylori associated disorders like peptic ulcer and gastric cancer and various strategies to treat and prevent these disorders. He has keen interest in The role of medicinal plants and spices in gastrointestinal (Gi) disorders not only specific to H. Pylori but also other GI disorders like inflammatory bowel disease, food allergy, and inflammatory bowel syndrome. He has published more than 20 papers with high citations, one international patent. He has been awarded with Young Investigator award in 2013 in Korea. He is member of following scientific societies, American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, International Society of Ethnopharmacology, USA, Japanese Society for Helicobacter Research, Japan, Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, Japan, Infectious Disease Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Association for Eastern Medicine, and Pakistan Biological Safety Association. He is also serving as reviewer in number of journals and also member of editor board.
