Biography

Sulaeha. I am a graduate student in the Entomology Ph.D. program, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University and a lecturer at Hasanuddin University. I have authored three papers in peer-reviewed international publications and some papers in local journals. My main research interests are semiochemical and plant–insect interactions. In 2002 to 2004 I had the opportunity to pursue an M.S. degree with funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. My research at that time focused on the biological activity and demographic parameters of leafminer parasitoids. This research was conducted in collaboration with ACIAR, and the research report was published in ACIAR Activity Journal for 2003.

During 2004–2007, I was a lecturer involved in a Research Competition Grant, provided by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (as a co-researcher) in Indonesia. I worked on projects including Utilization of Bait Attractant Trap to Control Pest Araecerus fasciculatus in Cocoa Storage (published 2004), Utilization of Artificial Diet for the Development of Predator Coccinellidae sp. on Aphis sp. (2007), and Compound Semiochemical of Weed to Enhance Fitness of the Parasitoid Trichogramma evanescens as Eggs Parasitoid and Usage of Extract from Waste Cocoa Pods as an Attractant to Cocoa Pods Borer (CPB) (both published in 2009).

In 2009, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education grant included a Young Lecturer research grant as Leader Team. The title of this research was Compound Semiochemical of weed to enhancing fitness parasitoid Trichogramma evanescens as eggs parasitoid

For 2012–2016, I have been a graduate student in the Entomology Ph.D. program with funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. In 2016, I received a research grant for Strategic National, from the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia (co-researcher). The research supported by this grant forms a chapter in my dissertation. I am active in the symposium of the Tephritid Workers of Asia, Australia and Oceania (TAAO), and my main research interests are semiochemical and plant–insect interactions.
