Biography

Dr. Mohd Taufik Bin Muhammad has obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agrotechnology Aquaculture (2010) and Master of Science Aquaculture (2015) in Institute of Tropical Aquaculture and Fisheries, from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ikhwanuddin Abdullah. Dr. Taufik received his Ph.D. in Aquaculture from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (2020) under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abol Munafi Ambok Bolong. His Ph.D. project focused on orange mud crab, Scylla olivacea. The current production of this mud crab and maintenance of mature broodstock in captivity are limited due to high mortality and slow gonad maturation. Therefore, the effects of different water velocities were investigated in order to improve mud crab maturation in captivity. In addition, his research interest included animal behavioural using Solomon coder, aquaculture technology focused on circulation water system indoor, nutritional analysis such as total lipid and fatty acid, physiological changes on energy density and glucose stress indicator, wastewater treatment used for foliar fertilizer, puxin reactor installment for methane gas production by methanogen bacteria using food waste, culturing fish, mud crab and microalgae. He also has experienced in handling gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS), advance research microscope and the NIS-Elements D 2.30 software, flow meter, bomb calorimeter, lipid extraction machine, microplate photometer, and ion chromatography
