Biography

Alina Wagiran is a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She is currently teaching undergraduate students in Biotechnology Programme at Faculty of Biosciences & Medical Engineering.She is currently looking into new niche area such as DNA barcoding and authentication tools in medicinal herbal product especially in Malaysia market.Apart from this, she also conducted research for rice tissue culture and genetic modification. Until now she has published more than 20 research papers.She has served as a member for Royal Society of Biology.
