After completion of senior secondary school, joined Mekelle university in 2001 and graduated with Bsc degree in dry land crop science in 2004. Then joined ministry of agriculture and serves as agronomist for five years. After that, joined Jimma university to issue MSc degere and graduated with Msc degree in plant breeding in 2011. Then joined Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) as lowland pulse crops particularly Common bean breeder and now serving as Common bean breeder here.
