Biography

Dr. Hanan Moawia Ibrahim is currently working as Associate Professor at Central Lab Ministry of Science and Communication Sudan and also Head of Biology-Department, Vice Chancellor General Director. She obtained her PhD in Microbiology from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Faculty of Science and Technology. Her research interest focused on several topics, Design of biological systems (single and multistage) for the production of Primary and secondary metabolites, Evaluation (qualitative and quantitative) of fermentation process, Development and optimization of high density biomass production Systems, Production of industrial products from microorganism eg. Nattokinase, CGTase, α- amylase, antibiotics, food preservatives, Streptokinase, alcohol, vitamins, bacterio-cin, L-asparaginase and lignin. Her specialization includes Industrial Microbiology, Fermentation Technology, and Microbial Enzymes. She supervised 10 MSc, 3 PhD and 3 BSc students. She also organized many workshops. She is member of following scientific societies, IT Industry and Information Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, Order of Priorities and Identification of Priorities for Programs and Research Projects, The plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Promotion Committee of the Central Laboratory, Vice-Chairman of the Central Union of Workers of the Lab, Scientific Committee of the Central Lab, Algazira Project Committee. She has published 12 articles in journals, 5 conference proceedings as author/co-author.
