Biography

Dr. Patrick Akata Nwofe is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Department of Industrial Physics, Faculty of Science, Ebonyi State University, Nigeria. Patrick did his postdoctoral research fellowship at Tokyo University of Science Japan under the sponsorship of Matsuame International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in 2019. He obtained a Ph.D in Physics (photovoltaic materials and solar cells) and M.Sc with Commendation in Optoelectronic and Communication Systems from Northumbria University, United Kingdom in 2013 and 2004 respectively, from scholarships by Northumbria University. He obtained a B.Sc in Physics and Astronomy with Upper Division at the University of Nigeria in 2001. He holds a professional qualification in renewable energy, obtained in 2013 from the European Energy Centre, Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom. His area of expertise includes; photovoltaics, thin film characterisation, optoelectronics, sensors, transistors, and Sustainable Energy. He has published 78 research articles in reputable journals, 3 book chapters, 1 book and 22 papers in international conferences contributed as author/co-author.
