Belagrouz Abdenour

I am an academic researcher in agronomy and forest sciences, with a focus on improving agricultural production systems and strengthening the resilience of forest ecosystems in semi-arid environments. My research places particular emphasis on water-use efficiency and plant responses to drought and heat stress.
My work encompasses both field crops, including wheat, barley, and legumes, and forest species. Key research areas include seed conservation and germination, nursery seedling production, forest regeneration, and the ecophysiological mechanisms underlying forest decline.
My overarching goal is to advance sustainable agriculture and forest conservation through improved water and soil management and the development of evidence-based strategies for adaptation to climate change.
