Biography

Dr. Abdel-Aziz Belal is currently working as Associate Professor of Soil Sciences and Head of Soil Sciences Department, Agriculture Application, Soil and Marine Division Egypt. He obtained his PhD in Precision Farming from Frieburg University Freiburg, Germany. He attended training on following topics Production of Land Use and Land Cover Maps Based on Satellite Imagery, Monitoring and Assessment Land Degradation on National/Site Levels, Developing a personality of leadership, Proposal Writing for Post Doctors, Trimble TerraSync Professional Edition Software. He is having 21 years working experience. He is professional member of Egyptian Soil Science Society, Egyptian Remote Sensing and Space Sciences Society, Society for Developing Clean Farming System, Scientific Society for Environmental protection, Union of Agricultural. His field of interest includes, Precision Farming, Sustainable Agriculture, Yield prediction and crop growth modeling, Building spectral library for soil and crop, Mapping geomorphology, Modeling Land and water resources and landuse planning and so on. He has published 39 articles in journals, 2 books, 12 presentations as author/co-author. He supervised 2 PhD and 1 MSc thesis, 8 MSc and 1 PhD student currently in his supervision. He is also serving as reviewer in number of national and international journals. He is also serving as Principal Investigator of many projects.
