Biography

Bahaa Hemdan, BH is a Researcher at Water Pollution Research Dept., Environmental Research Division, National Research Centre, and A Technical manager of Environmental microbiology Lab . Dr. Bahaa has more experiences in Detection of bacteria in different water types by different methods such MPN method, MF method and enzymatic method. Detection of food borne pathogens using rapid method (Enzymatic culture media).Microscopy techniques applied for monitoring the development of aquatic biofilm.Identification of some pathogenic bacteria from food and water using biochemical reaction tests and rapid test (BIOLOG GEN III instrument).Detection and isolation of oil-degrading microorganisms from petroleum waste and use these microorganisms in treatment of petroleum companies waste. Using some of microbial strains in bioremediation form oil spills. Evaluation of some pharmaceutical product as antiseptic by sensitivity test for several microorganisms.

Using some natural extract as antimicrobial for pathogenic bacteria.Measurement of some toxic materials by using Microtox 500 analyzer and by ASTM method using Pseudomonas aeruginosa organism. Measurement of toxic material using Microtox 500 analyser and ASTM method.Sensitivity test for some product as antimicrobial and its effect on pathogenic bacteria.He is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of advanced molecular technique for detection o bacteria in biofilm.
