At 2001, Haitham Yacoub earned his B.S.c. in Animal breeding, Ain Shams University, Egypt, 2001. M.Sc. Poultry breeding and genetics, Ain Shams University, Egypt, 2006 , and Ph.D. Poultry breeding and genetics, Ain Shams University, Egypt, 2010. Since 2003, I joined cell biology department at National Research Institute until now. In 2008, I worked as Associate Research at Michigan state university and ARS, ADOL, USDA, USA. My researches focused on the origin and divergences of animal species by using mitochondrial DNA approach, I am also interested in immunogenetics in animal populations to confer genes associated with disease resistance through Host Defense Peptides (HDPs). He awarded the best M.Sc and Ph.D theses in poultry biotechnology section from Egyptian Journal of Poultry Science Association, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, Egypt. I have bee granted several scientific projects in poultry biodiversity studies and avian host defense peptides era. . In addition, I joined Biological Sciences department in King Abdulaziz University and university of Jeddah , Saudi Arabia , 2010-2019. Currently, I worked as associate professor, Cell Biology Department , Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology division, National Research Center, Egypt.
