Dr. ElSayed earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Biology in 2010 from the University of Bayreuth, Germany. Three years later, he returned to the University of Bayreuth, Germany in 2013 for Postdoctoral study (DAAD fellowship). In 2014 he worked as a visiting scientist at Everglades Research and Education Center, University of Florida, USA. In 2015 he granted a Postdoctoral fellowship to Bielefeld University, Germany. He has published more than 35 papers in reputable international journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of reputable journals, also he has been serving as a reviewer for several international journals. Dr. ElSayed won Egypt’s State Encouragement Award for Agricultural Sciences (2013). Funded by a grant from the World University Service, Germany, Dr. ElSayed established the Molecular Biology Lab at Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University (2012). Moreover, ElSayed has been selected to be a member of the National Committee for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Egypt (Nov. 2018 – Nov. 2021). Dr. ElSayed participated and attended several international conferences in Egypt, Germany, the USA, France, Netherland, and Thailand. Dr. ElSayed has remarkable contributions to the GenBank (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). Dr. ElSayed attended several training courses in many disciplines from DAAD, AUC, Cairo University, Zagazig University. Additionally, he received the certificate of Training of Trainers (TOT), also he has completed training sessions as a Career Services Provider (CDF) at Career Center, AUC campus. Dr. ElSayed worked as a trainer at the Training and Development Center of Zagazig University. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor of Molecular Plant Biology at Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University. Also, he is working as a director of the University Center for Career Development (UCCD) Zagazig University (a project funded by USAID under the supervision of the American University in Cairo). The UCCD is attempting to bridge the gap between the higher education outcomes and the needs of the labor market by providing a comprehensive set of guidance and training in the fields of career management, employability skills, and entrepreneurship, as well as career services such as giving workshops on Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Job Search, Career planning and one-on-one sessions like resume critique, and career advising.
