Biography

Dr. Labeeb Bsoul is currently working as Associate Professor at Khalifa University, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He earned his Ph.D. in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Previously he was appointed as Visiting Assistant Professor at Abu Dhabi University, Abu Dhabi, and Assistant Professor at United Arab Emirates University, Al-Ain, UAE, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lecturer at Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec-Canada and Teaching Assistant at San Francisco State University, California-U.S.A. He is member of editorial Journal and reviewer of Humanities and Cultural Studies R&D board in Journal of Social Affairs, the Sociological Association of the UAE, Islamic Rethink Journal, Journal of Religion and Popular Culture and Journal of Islamic Research Centre. He is also serving as member of many association and organization such as International Society for Islamic Legal Studies, World Congress for Middle East Studies, Journal of Social Affairs, the Sociological Association of the UAE, Canadian Society for the Study of Religion, The Emirate Center for Strategic Studies and Research, Middle East Association of North America, Religion, Peace and Security in the Middle East, World Research Organization and Club, and Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences-Canada. Dr. Labeeb received honors includes ADEC Award for Research Excellence, Khalifa University Faculty of Excellence Award, Abu Dhabi University Student Award, Who’s Who in Humanities, UAEU Award-History Department undergraduate Students, San Francisco State University: International Student, Award and SFSU, Thesis Award. Currently he is working on 3 research projects. He also attended number of conferences and performed presentations. He has published 9 research articles in journals.
