D in 1983 at the University of Leeds, in the Department of Plant Sciences, Leeds, United Kingdom. I started my career in 1971 as a teacher of Biology and Chemistry in the secondary schools of Basrah (South of Iraq), and since I had obtained my higher degree, I worked in a number of universities (teaching and research, In Arabic and English): Mosul University, Iraq, (1984-1990); Sana’a University, Yemen (1990-1994, 1995-1997); Al-al Bayt University, Jordan (1994-1995, 2006-2008)); and Qatar University, Qatar (1997-2006). I have taught many subjects of Biological Sciences especially those related to plant sciences. These included specialized courses such as Plant physiology, Plant Metabolism, Ecophysiology, Plant Metabolism and Hormone Metabolism under stress. Moreover, general courses of Biology have been very interesting, these included: Biology (101), which includes biological molecules, cell structure and function, cell divisions, and genetics. Also, I taught Biology (102), biodiversity has been very interested, I taught the five system kingdoms and the three-domain system in the recent years as well. My deep specialization is Ecophysiology of plants under stress, Physiology of drought and salinity, and Plant growth regulators under stress. In the recent years, I have published some papers about ecophysiology of cultivated and wild plants in the State of Qatar, Moreover I was appointed as Head of the Department of Biology at Al-al-Bayt University, Jordan for the period 2007-2008. Also, I had engaged in a number of activities in the educational and academic sectors like presenting lectures, evaluating and reviewing curricula.
