Biography

Dr. Hussain H. Al-Kayiem holds a position of Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bradford, United Kingdom. He is having 35 years teaching experience. Previously he was appointed as Missile Engineer/Engineering Officer at Ministry of Defense-Iraq, Lecturer in ME Department Military College of Engineering - Ministry of Defense-Iraq, Assistant Professor and Head of Department at Al-Mustansirya University, Baghdad, Iraq, and Director of NEDECO - Iraq branch at Netherlands Engineering Consultant. His main area of interest focuses on Renewable Energies, Thermo-Fluids, Multi-Phase Flows, Enhanced Heat Transfer, FSI, CFD. He graduated more than 32 PhD and MSc student. Currently he is supervising 24 post graduate students. He is also serving as head or member of more than (80) Examination Committees of postgraduate students (PHD & MSC) in many Universities in Iraq and Malaysia. He is editor for International Journal of Energy Production and Management, UK. Dr. Hussain received honors includes winner of Energy and Environment INNOVA2010 special award + Gold Medal, winner of Energy and Environment INNOVA2010 special award + Gold Medal, and winner of 8 gold medals in ITEX, MTE, and special award in EINIX. He is professional member of ASME, SPE, Energy Institute-UK, Iraqi Engineers Union, and SECOP-PETRONAS. He has published 3 books, 14 chapters in books, and 107 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
